Belles of the ball at British Bridal Wear Awards 2003
Wedding Belles, the Anglesey bridal wear retailer, have a winning ticket to the British Bridal Wear awards 2003 on 17th March. They have been told that they are one of the three finalists for both categories they have entered. The black tie awards ceremony held at the British Bridal Wear Exhibition, Harrogate is the most respected and celebrated within the bridal industry.
They are entered in the ‘Best Accessories Retailer’ which looks at the range, quality and display at the shop.Diane Roberts said, “This is very exciting as Virgin Brides (a Sir Richard Branson company) won this award last year so for Wedding Belles to be chosen for an award in this category is very prestigious.”
Their web site is also up for an award for ‘Best Web Site Design’ this looks at numbers of hits, layout and how the site has contributed to Wedding Belles success. The site, designed by Llanfair’s John Griffith of Grifam Ltd, is an effective way of reaching customers. “Living in a rural community it is important that everyone can see our commitment to creating the most beautiful brides, before maybe travelling many miles,” states Diane Roberts.
It is an exciting time for Diane and her manager Fiona Roberts. In November 2003 they became full members of the ‘Retail Bridal Wear Association’, only 150 retailers are members out of a possible 3,500 outlets nationwide. Rigorous checks are carried out and members have to give a dedicated and independent service, Diane says that she is proud to be a member of the elite of British Bridal Wear Retailers.
Later in the month it will be seen which awards Diane and Fiona will bring home to Anglesey. With a move soon to new premises a little further up the road, Wedding Belles are going that much further with the service they provide.
