A Pink Wedding for Cancer Research

Wedding Belles, the Anglesey bridal wear retailer, has taken the slogan for Breast Cancer Awareness month ‘GET IN THE PINK’ to heart this October by dressing their shop windows with the pinkest collection of gowns possible, together with banners and balloons.

The proprietor of Wedding Belles, Diane Roberts, says,”Raising awareness will help increase the rate of early detection and successful treatment.  Raising funds will ensure that research continues to provide women with the best possible treatment and care.” Wedding Belles will be selling the special pink ribbons and are hoping to raise sponsorship for Lynne Frater.  Lynne will be walking in a 10 Kms sponsored event on 26^th October in Colwyn Bay for Breast Cancer Research. Diane says that, “Having a 20 year nursing and midwifery background I am delighted to help raise awareness and funds for such a worthy cause. The shop looks great everyone is talking about it.” Lynne, a nurse adviser, raised money last year and was determined to do more this year, “Many lives are touched in some way by breast cancer” says Lynne “the patient, partner, relatives and friends.  The good news is that if caught early enough women can be successfully treated.”
