Wedding Belles Fly the Flag of Wales

Wedding Belles, the Anglesey bridal wear retailer, would like to dare a Welsh bride to be different. Recently the window of Wedding Belles featured green, white and red dresses with a dress made from the Welsh Dragon Flag.

The proprietor of Wedding Belles, Diane Roberts, says, “We decided to have a Welsh theme for the shop window display, to promote our language and culture, during the Urdd Eisteddfod.”

Diane and her manager Fiona Roberts created a wedding dress using two large Welsh flags. “It was the talk of the village, visitors stopped to take photos, and we received several delighted callers and encouraging cards,” says Fiona.

To Wedding Belles surprise, since the display was taken down, three genuine brides have wanted to try on the dress. The brides have been very disappointed to find it was made from a couple of flags

Diane says “We are now seriously considering a Welsh flag dress as an addition to our extensive collection and are looking for a very special bride to wear it.” Wedding Belles know that every bride is special and dare a Welsh bride to get married in red, green and white.
